    Video:

We play jazz standards with rhythms and harmonies that are closer to pop, ethnic music or classical music from the beginning of the 20th century and we are now going even further by making versions in Spanish, thus evoking the Havana cabarets at the time when Nat King Cole and Franck Sinatra held residencies there and when the Cuban Fillin’ (local musical genre of the time) dared to appropriate American jazz and vice versa.

We wanted to bring partners into the adventure, with a so-called classic jazz formula, that of the quartet. We preferred this formula to keep the very essence of the duo which itself, piano vocals, is an extremely classic and common formula. We thus think of keeping the soul of these songs while taking them to an elsewhere which is located somewhere in the 21st century.

    WILIAM BRUNARD

After classical piano and cello studies, he turned to the guitar, accompanying artists like Tchavolo Schmitt. But it is the double bass that will become his instrument of choice and which will open the doors to the biggest stages alongside musicians like Patrick Saussois, Angelo Debarre, Christian Escoudé, Stochelo Rosenberg, Didier Lockwood, Noé Reihnardt, Thomas Dutronc.. . and today Biréli Lagrène.

    FREDERIC SICART

After a First Prize in Percussion at the Nice Conservatory and studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, he joined the French and international Jazz scene and performed notably alongside notable artists such as Claude Nougaro, Richard Galliano, Pierre Vassiliu, Bernard Lavilliers, the Raoul Petite group, Francis Lockwood.
