FANCY JAZZ

The golden age of jazz reinvented, blending classical, pop, and Latin jazz.
A familiar yet unprecedented experience.

Jazz has always been a welcoming, open, and inquisitive music, drawing inspiration from both instrumental pieces and songs from other musical traditions.

This tradition abounds with remarkable examples: Jacques Loussier and his reinterpretations of Bach, Thierry Eliez with “3 Around the 4″ as a tribute to the Beatles, Paul Anka with ” Rock Swings”, or Miles Davis reinventing Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time”.

Rose Franck reverses this dynamic by propelling great jazz standards into the parallel universe of their imagination, offering a fresh aesthetic to these timeless songs.

With pop accents, harmonies imbued with 20th century classical music or more ethnic rhythms, Franck Monbaylet creates a sound setting around Rosa Ines’s voice, sensual, strong and rich in her Latin American culture, giving these magnificent timeless songs a new aesthetic, in their debut album in duo

The second album, even more audacious, fully embraces this approach, offering original interpretations in Spanish, performed by an exceptional quartet featuring the marvelous William Brunard on double bass and Frédéric Sicart on drums.
